Refund Policy

IMPORTANT: NO REFUNDS POLICY

Due to the nature of our WhatsApp messaging service, Habitchat operates a strict no-refund policy. Please read this policy carefully before subscribing.

1. No Refunds

Habitchat does not provide refunds for any subscription fees, partial periods, or unused messages. This policy applies to all subscription plans including:

  • Basic Plan ($2.99/month or $29.99/year)
  • Pro Plan ($5.99/month or $49.99/year)

2. Why We Don't Offer Refunds

Our no-refund policy exists because:

  • Message-based costs: Each WhatsApp message sent to and from your account incurs a direct cost to us via WhatsApp/Twilio infrastructure
  • Instant service delivery: Our service is delivered immediately upon subscription activation
  • Resource allocation: We allocate server resources and message capacity based on active subscriptions
  • Fair usage: This policy prevents abuse and ensures fair service for all users

3. Free Trial Period

To help you make an informed decision, we offer:

  • 3-day free trial for all new subscriptions
  • Full access to your chosen plan's features during the trial
  • No credit card required to start the trial (for waitlist members)
  • Ability to cancel anytime during the trial without being charged

We strongly encourage you to fully test the service during your free trial period before committing to a paid subscription.

4. Cancellation Policy

While we don't offer refunds, you can cancel your subscription at any time:

  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
  • You retain full access to the service until the end of the paid period
  • No refund will be provided for the remaining days in your current billing cycle
  • Your habit data will be retained for 30 days after cancellation
  • You can reactivate your account within 30 days without losing data

5. Message Limits and Overages

Each plan includes specific habit limits:

  • Basic Plan: Track up to 5 habits
  • Pro Plan: Track up to 15 habits

If you need to track more habits:

  • You can upgrade to the Pro plan for additional habit slots
  • No refunds will be provided for plan upgrades or downgrades
  • Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated billing

6. Service Issues and Downtime

In the event of service disruptions:

  • We will make every effort to restore service as quickly as possible
  • Short-term outages (under 24 hours) do not qualify for refunds
  • Extended outages may be addressed on a case-by-case basis at our discretion

7. Exceptional Circumstances

In rare cases, we may consider refund requests at our sole discretion for:

  • Technical issues on our end that prevent service delivery for an extended period
  • Billing errors or duplicate charges
  • Unauthorized charges due to account compromise

To request consideration for an exceptional circumstance, contact us at hello@habitchat.app within 7 days of the charge.

8. Acknowledgment

By subscribing to Habitchat, you acknowledge that:

  • You have read and understood this Refund Policy
  • You agree to the no-refund policy
  • You have had the opportunity to test the service during the free trial period
  • All sales are final once the free trial period ends
